"Product description is a lie, cheap knockoff battery does not work with camera" 2010-01-30

I was looking for accessory kit for my Sony SR-47 and this kit came up, says in title it works with my camera. Kit states it includes a spare NP-FH100 battery for Sony and a CTA Mini Battery Charger for Sony FH100 NP-FP50 FH40 FH40 FH60 FH70. Was sent a CTA brand DB-FH100 battery and a CTA mini-charger. I called CTA and their battery will not work with an SR-47. On top of that, the charger's package does not say it will charge a CTA DB-FH100 battery. Contacted Cameta several times to give them the opportunity to honor their product description and they kept saying it was a misunderstanding, not a battery sent by mistake. Cameta said "However the battery received is in fact that one that was intended for the sale. The battery is not advertised as being the Sony brand; only the camera case was." This is a lie and still remains in the description. It still comes up as a viable accessory kit for an SR-47, but this is also untrue. Got my money back, but will never buy from this dishonest company again. Complained to Amazon about them, but the product/company has not been removed from site.

The tripod and other accessories work well, however, when you put the battery into the camera an error message pops up and the camera shuts off. The battery might work in some cameras, but it does not work for the SR11.

THIS PRODUCT MISLEADS YOU TO BELIEVE IT IS MADE BY SONY. IT IS NOT! THE BATTERY IS AFTERMARKET. IT DOES NOT FIT PROPERLY ON THE CAM CORDER, BUT SEEMS LIKE IT DOES. YOU DONT KNOW THIS UNTIL YOUR POWER SHUTS OFF AND ON WHILE TRYING TO FILM. IT RUINED OUR WHOLE TRIP OF MEMORIES OF DISNEY.

I was a little skeptical because the price was so cheap but I took the chance and I am very happy. I looked up the prices for these items individually and found I saved $ by buying this package deal. The camera bag is Sony so you know its awesome. The tripod is very sturdy and has a bag so it carries well. The battery is great its a bit large but I found I could record 10 x's longer than w/the stock battery on my camcorder. The battery charger is a little flimsy (where the battery connects to it) but if your careful when setting up the battery to charge it works great. Of course the lens cleaner items are a bit cheap but a Great extra since I always forget to buy these items when I'm out & about. (Lens cleaner consists of a 5-Piece Lens Cleaning Kit, great little kit...helped in a pinch!!)
